Crowley

Did you know David Tibet wrote a cover story for Flexipop about Crowley's influence on music? Cuz we sure as hell didn't.

On this episode, we’re take up the shadowy and nebulous notion of occult and Satanic imagery in industrial and goth music. How does it differ from metal in this regard? Should these themes be used more as thesis than anti-thesis? And are God Destruction totally cheesy, totally awesome, or a little of both? All this and more on Hot Stuff the Little Devil’s favourite podcast! As always, you can rate and subscribe on iTunes, Google Play Music and Stitcher, download directly, or stream from the widget down below.

i realize i am way behind, but it’s worth noting in your contrast of Claus Larsen’s satanic imagery as part of a self-actualization as a gay man vs Gaahl’s, that Gaahl is *also* gay, and holy shit was the early (and current) black metal scene homophobic.

Totally not how I would have gone about this episode, but that’s why I listen to you guys, for a different point of view.

In line with the recommendations for what I think were this episode, I went to band camp ( a year late ) and bought several Leatherstrip albums. Of course, this was because the time distorted podcast I played after this was the Talks with Ghosts episode with leather Strip.
